Authorities catch 9 suspects dancing to terrorist anthem in Mersin
Minister Yilmaz Tunç has announced that a judicial investigation has been initiated by the Mersin Republic Chief Public Prosecutor’s Office following an incident in which a group performed the traditional halay dance to the anthem of a separatist terrorist organization in Mersin. The group also chanted slogans in support of the leader of the same terrorist organization.
According to Minister Tunç, 9 suspects have been identified and detained as part of the investigation, while efforts to apprehend 2 additional suspects are currently underway. Minister Tunç emphasized that any attempts to disrupt the peace of the country and undermine national unity and solidarity will not succeed.
