Ayşe Başar, Longtime BRTK Employee, Passes Away
Ayşe Başar, a former employee of Bayrak Radio and Television Corporation, has passed away at the age of 99. Başar, who began her career as a news and program announcer at the Turkish section of the Cyprus Broadcasting Corporation (CBC) in 1953, later joined Bayrak Radio during the events of 22 December 1963.
After working at Bayrak Radio for many years, Ayşe Başar retired in 1978. A ceremony in memory of Başar will be held at Bayrak Radio and Television Corporation tomorrow at 11:00.
