AZAL Plane Black Boxes Decrypted and Delivered to Kazakhstan
The black boxes of the AZAL plane that crashed in Aktau last year have been decrypted and brought to Kazakhstan from Brazil. The data from the black boxes is currently being examined by specialists, as reported by Kazinform citing the Kazakh Ministry of Transport on Jan. 15.
According to the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) standards and recommended practices of Annex 13, the Commission for the Investigation of the Aviation Accident of the Kazakh Transport Ministry will release a Preliminary Report after a detailed study of all the facts and materials. This report will provide established factual information on the progress of the investigation into the crash.
The tragic accident resulted in the loss of 38 lives and left 29 people injured, including three children. Stay tuned for updates as the investigation progresses.
