Azerbaijan and Pakistan ink MoU on trade cooperation
Baku, June 15 – Azerbaijani officials met with the delegation led by the Prime Minister of Pakistan, Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif, to discuss the development of Azerbaijan-Pakistan partnership. The meeting, which included Azerbaijan’s Minister of Economy Mikayil Jabbarov, Minister of Digital Development and Transport Rashad Nabiyev, Minister of Energy Parviz Shahbazov, and the country’s ambassador to Pakistan Khazar Farhadov, emphasized the importance of strengthening ties and building a relationship based on mutual trust.
Both parties highlighted the potential for diversification of bilateral relations and the implementation of joint projects. To solidify this partnership, a Memorandum of Understanding on cooperation in the field of trade was signed between the Ministry of Economy of Azerbaijan and the Ministry of Commerce of Pakistan. This document outlines specific measures that will be taken to deepen trade relations between the two nations.
