Azerbaijan Victory Martyrs’ Families Association Visits Mausoleum in TRNC
The Azerbaijan Victory Martyrs’ Families Association recently visited the mausoleum of Founding President Rauf Raif Denktaş and Dr. Fazıl Küçük as part of their summer camp activity in the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC). The visit was organized in collaboration with Istanbul Technical University (ITU) and Girne American University (GAU).
Accompanied by Presidential Advisors Latif Akça and Ahmet Akdeniz, the delegation, led by Association President Sevinç Oruçova, paid their respects at the monumental graves of Denktaş and Küçük. They laid a wreath and offered prayers during their visit.
The 32-person delegation from Azerbaijan, which arrived in TRNC the day before, will be hosted by ITU-TRNC and GAU. As part of the summer school program running until July 28, the Azerbaijan Zafer Martyrs’ Families Support Association will also engage in various official visits.
In addition to their visit to the mausoleum, the Azerbaijani delegation also attended the “Living with Disability” photography exhibition curated by İsmail Gökçe. The exhibition, organized by the Foundation for the Support of the Disabled (FODER) with contributions from the Department of Culture, is currently on display at the Nicosia Ataturk Cultural Center until July 19.
Overall, this cultural exchange between Azerbaijan and TRNC aims to strengthen ties and promote understanding between the two nations.
