Balaton Sound Festival Begins with Astronomical Prices – Captivating PHOTOS

Sky-high food and drink prices have been reported at the 2023 Balaton Sound festival in Hungary. The Hungarian tabloid Blikk has provided a breakdown of the prices for festivalgoers.
If you find yourself hungry at the festival, be prepared to spend a significant amount of money. A single burger costs HUF 5,800 (equivalent to EUR 15.64), and if you want extra meat, it will cost an additional HUF 1,500 (EUR 4.04). Festivalgoers have long been aware that attending events like this can be an expensive affair. However, this year at Balaton Sound, even the prices of alcoholic beverages have increased considerably.
Beer, which is a staple at festivals, is the cheapest alcoholic option. However, it still comes with a price tag. A half-litre draught of beer costs HUF 1890 (EUR 5.10), while a can of beer is priced at HUF 1990 (EUR 5.37). Water, on the other hand, costs HUF 990 (EUR 2.67) for half a litre, and a 1 dl of wine costs HUF 790 (EUR 2.13).
In addition to expensive food and drinks, festival tickets and accommodation also come at a significant cost. For those who only want to attend the festival for one day, the cheapest daily ticket is priced at HUF 36-38,000 (EUR 97.07-102.47). If you plan to enjoy the festival for several days, there is a 3-day ticket available for HUF 95,000 (EUR 256.17) or a 4-day ticket for HUF 105,000 (EUR 283.13).
It’s worth noting that those who choose to stay for multiple days will need to consider accommodation costs. Camping tickets can be purchased at the festival site for HUF 11,900 (EUR 32.09). However, if you prefer more comfortable accommodation, expect to pay around HUF 20-30,000 (EUR 53.93-80.89) per night, excluding meals.
For those planning to attend the festival, it’s essential to budget accordingly and be aware of the high prices for food, drinks, tickets, and accommodation. It’s advisable to plan ahead and consider alternative options to manage expenses during the festival.
