
Ban on Demonstration Marches and Open Air Meetings in Bitlis for 5 Days

The Governorship of Bitlis has issued a statement regarding the prohibition of demonstration marches, open-air and indoor meetings, press releases, sit-ins, surveys, tents and stands, signature campaigns, distributing leaflets, brochures, and flyers, and all kinds of protest actions in the province. The statement mentioned that these events were frequently used as a form of action by terrorist organizations and provocative groups, and as a result, measures were taken to prevent actions and attacks, ensure the safety of people’s lives and property, eliminate the plans of terrorist organizations, and prevent the spread of violent incidents. The prohibition is in effect from 5 February to 9 February, and it also includes the prevention of individuals or collective organizations from entering or exiting the province to participate in illegal actions. This decision aims to maintain public safety and order within the province of Bitlis.
