The 15 November Republic Festival, traditionally organized every year by the Youth Department under the Deputy Prime Ministry, Ministry of Tourism, Culture, Youth and Environment, will be held on 15-16 November this year.

According to the statement made by the department, folk dance teams, Joker Brass band team, hip-hop dance teams and scouts from abroad and TRNC will take their place in the cortege and perform in the official parade to be held in Kyrenia and Nicosia on Friday, November 15. The “We Pedal for the Republic” ride will be held in cooperation with the Youth Office, TRNC Bicycle Federation and TRNC Bicycle Lovers Association.

Due to the anniversary of the founding of the Republic; Turkey, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Azerbaijan and local groups of the country will hold a cortege from the old Kyrenia Municipality in Kyrenia Ramadan Cemil Square to the Ataturk Monument on Friday, November 15 at 14.00.

Folk dance teams, scouts affiliated with the Scouting Federation and modern dance teams will also take their place in the cortege.

After the traditional official parade, before the Solo Turkish flight, folk dance teams will organize street performances in front of the Ataturk Monument. After the street performances, the cortege will start next to Cafe 34 in Kyrenia Ancient Port and performances will be performed on stage at 16.30.

Meanwhile, folk dance teams will participate in the official parade in Nicosia on the same day, and Vadili Youth Center Folk Dance Group will also perform shows.

Within the framework of the events, the “We Pedal for the Republic” ride will be held in Nicosia on Saturday, November 16, at 14.30, in cooperation with the Youth Department, TRNC Bicycle Federation and TRNC Bicycle Lovers Association.

The bike ride starts from Köşklüçiftlik (Dereboyu) Kumsal Park and continues through Ortaköy, Gönyeli Çemberi, Dr. It will be completed by following the Fazıl Küçük Boulevard, Şehit Mustafa Ahmet Ruso Street, Bus Terminal and Dereboyu routes again.

The teams will lay a wreath at the Monument of Founding President Rauf Raif Denktaş in the Ortaköy region, and all participants will be presented with a Republic commemorative medal at the end.

Youth Department Director Hüseyin Ozanoğlu stated that he sincerely congratulates the 41st anniversary of the founding of the TRNC and that all the public is invited to the events.
