The press conference of the 16th International Tatlısu Carob and Folk Dances Festival, traditionally organized by Tatlısu Municipality with the contributions of the Final Organization, was held at Zambak Holiday Village Facilities.

Tatlısu Mayor Hayri Orçan stated that, as every year, stands and brochures that will highlight carob and its products will be distributed this year, and that their aim is to promote the product as well as to contribute to the economic, social and cultural lives of those living in the region.

Stating that the prices of carob are still not determined, Orçan said that it has a negative impact on the producers and that he will take the necessary steps to protect carob, which is the most important value of the country in terms of continuity of production.

On the first day of the festival, a beauty contest for children will be held tomorrow and local music groups will perform; Noting that the Pera concert will be held with various entertaining shows on the second day, Orçan stated that on the last day of the festival, the Murat Kekili concert will be held as well as various shows.

Final Organization Director Yıltan Tozakı also stated that a very entertaining festival will take place in Tatlısu and that they aim to present shows that have not been performed before.

Çiğdem Dağstanlı, who hosted the festival, invited everyone to the festival and thanked those who contributed.
