In his statement on the subject, Girne Mayor Murat Şenkul noted that the current pump is likely to be insufficient during the hours when the density in the station increases, and that this means waste water discharge into the sea.

Şenkul added that all of these stations will be renewed within a year and emphasized that they expect the UNDP tender, which is currently open, to result in reasonable numbers for this change, which requires an investment of approximately 18-20 million TL.
