President Ersin Tatar and his wife Sibel Tatar organized the “November 15 Republic Reception” on the occasion of the 41st anniversary of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus.

The reception at the Presidency was attended by Vice President of the Republic of Turkey Cevdet Yılmaz, President of the Assembly of the Republic Ziya Öztürkler, Deputy Speaker of the Grand National Assembly of Turkey Celal Adan, Prime Minister Ünal Üstel, President of the Supreme Court Bertan Özerdağ, 2nd President Mehmet Ali Talat, TR Ambassador to Nicosia Yasin Ekrem Serim, KTBK. Commander Major General Sebahattin Kılınç, GKK Commander Major General İlker Görgülü, Ministers, some members of parliament, guests from abroad, military personnel and senior executives attended.

In his speech at the reception, President Ersin Tatar noted that they were celebrating the 41st anniversary of the TRNC with great excitement and thanked everyone who participated in the celebrations. Tatar stated that it is important to come together and evaluate the achievements achieved in 41 years.

President Tatar emphasized that the important thing is to live in peace, tranquility and security in this country.

Stating that it is necessary to strengthen the social structure along with the customs and traditions of the country by advancing in various disciplines in this direction, as well as politics, Tatar said, referring to his speech in the morning, “We are Atatürk’s children. “We are following His path.” he said.

Emphasizing that what suits them is to take the state even further, Tatar shared his confidence in the youth of the country and expressed his belief that they will make the country live to greater heights and said, “As long as the ground of the state is protected.” he said.

Tatar also pointed out the importance of the Republic of Turkey and friendly countries in this critical geography, and emphasized that, as a Turkish state in the Eastern Mediterranean, the politics carried out in the TRNC is the only solution, as stated by the President of Turkey Recep Tayyip Erdoğan in every international platform.

Noting that the Turkish Cypriot people protect their own survival while also protecting Turkey’s rights, Tatar stated that we will walk into the future stronger together.

President Tatar also expressed his happiness to see citizens at the Presidency frequently and said that the doors of the Palace are always open to the public and every citizen can reach him. Tatar said, “We are the people of the people. “We are here to serve the public.” he said.

Tatar remembered the statesmen who contributed to the establishment of the state and expressed his gratitude to the surviving veterans.
