A bird watching event was held at Famagusta Gülseren Pond on the occasion of World Migratory Bird Day.

Environmental Education and Management Specialist Dr. Asuman Korukoğlu stated that World Migratory Bird Day has been celebrated every year in the second week of October and May since 2006, with the environmental partnership for Africa with the United Nations Migratory Species Convention and the African-Eurasian Migratory Waterbird Agreement.
