Making the opening speech of the concert, Ambassador of the Republic of Turkey to Nicosia Yasin Ekrem Serim noted that the Republic of Turkey has reached its 101st year by developing in peace, prosperity and stability, despite the various challenges it has faced.
Ambassador Serim said, “We are the children of ancestors who showed the whole world that the will to live independently in our own country cannot be shackled. Our most important duty is to preserve and defend Turkish independence and the Turkish Republic forever. “Türkiye Century is moving forward with determination and perseverance towards our goals,” he said.
Touching on the Cyprus issue in his speech, Ambassador Serim said that the Republic of Turkey stands by the Turkish Cypriot people today, as it did yesterday, to prevent their inherent rights from being usurped.
Serim said, “We will continue to emphasize at every opportunity our President Erdoğan’s call to the international community for the official recognition of the TRNC and the establishment of diplomatic, political, cultural and economic relations.”

In his speech at the opening of the concert, President of the Assembly of the Republic, Ziya Öztürkler, said that the determined and combative spirit of the great leader Atatürk and the unity, solidarity, brotherhood and solidarity shown by the Turkish nation set an example for the Turkish Cypriots and the nations of the world.
“In this 101-year journey, we will continue to walk determinedly towards the same goal with our motherland, the Republic of Türkiye.” Öztürkler emphasized that they will continue to work with all their strength to protect the founding principles of the Republic and leave a stronger legacy to future generations.
