Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Tourism, Culture, Youth and Environment Fikri Ataoğlu attended the “IV. He attended the “Rural Areas and Ecology” Congress within the International Sustainable Development Framework.

According to the information provided by the Ministry, the Congress is held with the aim of bringing together qualified scientists from home and abroad to present valuable research on Natural Sciences and Ecological Sciences, with a priority on Rural Area Ecosystems, to share information and to create an international common platform.

At the congress, Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Tourism, Culture, Youth and Environment Fikri Ataoğlu, Former Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Economy, Tourism and Finance Serdar Denktaş, Forest Department Director Salih Güneş, Former Orhan Department Director Cemil Karzaoğlu, Former Environmental Protection Department Officer Mustafa Kemal Meraklı and TR Kırıkkale. University Faculty of Fine Arts Landscape Architecture Department Head Prof. Dr. Öner Demirel made speeches.

Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Tourism, Culture, Youth and Environment, Fikri Ataoğlu, in his speech at the congress, said that the ministry was sensitive about rural ecology and protection of rural areas.

Ataoğlu continued his words as follows;

“Our Ministry has permitted many conservation studies, allowing conservation studies to be carried out on different subjects, and carries out effective work to protect biodiversity values ​​in accordance with the Regulation on the Protection of Flora, Fauna Species and Wild Birds prepared within the scope of the Environmental Law.

Considering the fact that our country is a tourism country, the environment has the feature of being a tourism resource, and the most important effects of tourism are on the environment.

Tourism is a sector that uses natural resources intensively and must also protect them. Because the development of tourism and the environmental use of an area creates environmental impacts.

Regions that can make the natural environment attractive today and in the future; They will be able to get a greater share of the benefits when they combine their human structure, natural landscape and architectural structure features in a balanced way.

In this context, the protection of the ecological structure in rural areas is sensitively managed by the “Regulation on the Protection and Management of Wetlands”, which was also issued under the Environmental Law regarding the protection of Wetlands, the majority of which are located in rural areas in our country.
