At the General Assembly of the Republic Assembly, the budget of Bayrak Radio and Television Corporation (BRTK) worth 1 billion 661 million 500 thousand TL was approved by majority vote.

CTP Deputy Sami Özuslu was the first to speak on the BRTK budget.

CTP Deputy Sami Özuslu stated that BRTK currently employs 443 people and shared their status.

Speaking about the problems at BRTK, Özuslu stated that there are part-time employees who are excluded from the collective bargaining agreement.

Emphasizing that it is unacceptable to employ around 20 employees for 15 thousand TL, Özuslu said that they will follow up on this issue.

Stating that there has been a vacancy in the board of directors of BRTK for a long time, Özuslu criticized the institutions for being reduced to vacancy by political parties’ own internal processes. Özuslu also criticized BRTK’s broadcasting policy and said, “BRT has become disconnected from the public.” he said. Stating that BRTK has moved away from polyphony, Özuslu wanted BRTK to undertake works that will fulfill the society’s vision of opening up to the world.

Özuslu suggested making a protocol with TRT and suggested that the country’s culture, apart from its sun and gambling, should be introduced in Turkey.

CTP Deputy Devrim Barçın also spoke on the BRTK budget and talked about the rights of the employees of the institution.

Barçın stated that the missing Provident Fund and insurance investments of the institution’s employees should be deposited simultaneously by the institution and the employee.
