A trip to the Kyrenia region was organized with the participation of Dipkarpaz Recep Tayyip Erdoğan Secondary School students within the scope of the “I Know My Country Project” of the Youth Department affiliated with the Deputy Prime Minister, Ministry of Tourism, Culture, Youth and Environment.

According to the statement made by the Youth Department Press Office, during the trip between November 30 and December 1, students visited many historical and cultural places, made observations and received information.

The first day of the trip started with the Miniature Cyprus Museum in Tatlısu. Later, the students visited Bellapais Monastery and village, Kyrenia Castle, Kyrenia Tourism Port and Kyrenia Bazaar, and then visited the Peace Landing Monument and the Museum Ship and helicopter.

The students, who were taken to Lapta Youth Camp after the trip, were given different activities by the volunteer leaders in the camps, and a movie night was organized in the evening.

On the second day, the students, Hz. They visited the Tomb of Omar and were taken back to their schools.

Youth Department Director Hüseyin Ozanoğlu also came together and chatted with young people during a part of the event. Expressing that he was happy to learn that young people were very satisfied with the project, Ozanoğlu stated that the I Know My Country Project will continue throughout the TRNC.

Ozanoğlu thanked the Deputy Prime Minister, the Ministry of Tourism, Culture, Youth and Environment and the Development and Economic Cooperation Office of the Turkish Embassy in Nicosia, for their great contributions to the realization of the project.
