Who is Metin Münir?

Metin Münir was born in Nicosia in 1944. After high school, he studied at Ankara Faculty of Political Sciences and became a journalist.

Münir took a break from his education and worked as a mujahid in Erenköy for two years.

He was the Turkey representative of Turkish Daily News, BBC, London Times, Financial Times and Sunday Times, editor-in-chief of Güneş Newspaper for one and a half years, and a columnist in Yeni Yüzyıl, Yeni Binyıl, Sabah Newspaper and Vatan Newspaper.

Münir worked at his first job, Turkish Daily News, for five years. After that, he served as Turkey representative of the Financial Times and Sunday Times for 12 years. For the next year and a half, he became the editor-in-chief of Güneş newspaper. He worked in Yeni Yüzyıl, Sabah, Vatan and Milliyet.

Münir, who was dismissed from Milliyet on November 2, 2012, continued his writings in T24 from June 30, 2015 to July 4, 2020. Münir’s articles were published in Diyalog newspaper for a long time.
