Famagusta Mayor Süleyman Uluçay accepted the officials of the project of re -reinstating individuals who were released from prison.

According to the information given from the Famagusta Municipality, Barış Alibeyoğlu, the coordinator of the “Post -Prison Life: Special Perspective on Employment” project, İrem İlksoy, Communication and Project Assistant İrem İlksoy and Aslı Murat, President of the Turkish Cypriot Bar Association Human Rights Committee.

During the meeting, Uluçay was informed about the purpose, goals and the activities carried out. It was explained that the project aims to restore the re -gaining of individuals released from prison to society and to increase their participation in employment; Exchange was exchanged about the role that local governments can undertake in this process.

The project, which was financed by the European Union within the scope of the EU Assistance Program for the Turkish Cypriot Society, is carried out in cooperation with the Turkish Cypriot Bar Association and the Human Resources Management Association.

President Uluçay, during the meeting, the satisfaction of the visit, the importance of the cooperation to be created within the scope of the project and expressed his satisfaction with this cooperation.
