In his speech at the reception, Parliament Speaker Zorlu Töre expressed his great pleasure in meeting the delegation.

Feyziyev stated that all Azerbaijanis have always had good relations with the TRNC.

“This is our first official visit. “We are all honored,” said Feyziyev, drawing attention to the importance of friendship groups coming together here today.

Feyziyev stated that the establishment of the friendship group between the National Assembly of Azerbaijan and TRNC was the first official contact in diplomatic terms and said, “I am sure this will not be the last. “The visit we made today will lead to the establishment of friendship groups among our other sister states,” he said.

Feyziyev wished that TRNC would become a more connected state in the future and its flag would fly with great honor before the United Nations.

Turkey – Inter-Parliamentary Friendship Group President Orhan Erdem said, “Our dream has come true” and stated that they will continue to make the necessary efforts.

Noting that the presidents and parliament speakers of the three countries contributed greatly to this unity, Erdem wished that their brotherhood would strengthen.

Stating that there is a period in which law and human rights are destroyed in the world, Erdem stated that the world remained a spectator to the events in Gaza, Karabakh and the just cause of the TRNC.

Erdem said that they would defeat them with unity and brotherhood.

Chairman of the Azerbaijan-Turkey Inter-Parliamentary Friendship Group, Ehliman Emiraslanov, also stated that they will meet more often as friendship groups.

Noting that they have been working for a long time to establish friendship groups, Emiraslanov emphasized that they will continue to work hard in the future.

Emiraslanov expressed his wish that the friendship group would also be formed with other Turkish states.

President of the Turkey-Azerbaijan Inter-Parliamentary Friendship Group Şamil Ayrım started his speech by saying, “Today is a historic day.”

Stating that it is very important for them to be here and that it is noted in history, Ayrım said, “After 146 years, Azerbaijan is in Cyprus. “We are very happy to be here today,” he said.

Stating that they know that Cyprus has gone through difficult times in the past, Ayrım stated that TRNC is still not represented in the international arena.
