Turkish Cypriot Physiotherapists Association provided spine health training to 120 physical education and classroom teachers.
According to the information provided by the association, the trainings were given within the scope of the StandUp Right Project, which is funded by the European Union and aims to provide spine health education for children.
Within the framework of the project carried out by the Turkish Cypriot Physiotherapists Association, trainings were completed for classroom and physical education teachers, who are among the most important stakeholders who can raise awareness about spine health. In the last session of the project, the importance of ergonomics and what needs to be done for children’s spine health in schools were explained.
Within the scope of the project, a book that will be a resource for the physical education course curriculum will also be published.
