President Ersin Tatar attended the Academic Award Ceremony held for the successful academics of Eastern Mediterranean University, which showed outstanding success in 2023.

In his speech at the ceremony, President Ersin Tatar stated that it is a privilege to receive education and work at EMU and congratulated the EMU board of trustees, academics and staff for their success despite international problems and conflicts in the region.

Pointing out that EMU is a world-renowned and invaluable brand in higher education, President Tatar stated that the university played a major role in the recognition of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus.

Pointing out that 77 thousand students from 144 different countries have graduated from EMU since the day it was founded, President Tatar noted that these students include EMU and the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus in their CVs.

President Tatar congratulated the awardees according to the criteria of Stranford University and expressed his wish for the education of students who will contribute to humanity.

After his speech, President Tatar presented academic awards to the academics who were included in the Stanford University World’s Top 2% Scientists List.

Presidential Political Affairs Advisor and EMU Foundation Executives Organization member Anıl Kaya also presented the award at the award ceremony.
