President Ersin Tatar visited the families of veteran Ahmet Ceylan, martyr İzzet Ahmet and martyr Fuat Mehmet Türköz.

In his speech during the visits, President Ersin Tatar said that it was his duty of loyalty to chat with the families of veterans and martyrs who served as mujahideen, to listen to their problems and to help solve them.

President Tatar thanked the veterans and their families on behalf of the martyrs who made great sacrifices and served, stated that their aim is to strengthen the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus, and stated that 50 years have passed since the Cyprus Peace Operation and that there is peace, tranquility and trust on the Island of Cyprus.

Stating that İzzet Ahmet was martyred as a result of a bomb falling while carrying a wounded woman, President Tatar emphasized that the struggle and sacrifices made in order not to forget what happened in the past should be explained to young people.

Stating that the peace in Cyprus and the established state are indebted to the veterans and martyrs, President Tatar commemorated all the martyrs and expressed his gratitude to the veterans.

Stating that the martyrs who lost their lives at a young age for the sake of the country will not be forgotten, President Tatar noted that the state will always support the veterans and the families of the martyrs.

Gazi Ahmet Ceylan and the families of the martyrs expressed their satisfaction with the visit and thanked President Tatar.
