In his speech at the reception, President Tatar expressed his pleasure to see İyi Party International Relations President Ahmet Kamil Erozan on the 41st anniversary of the establishment of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus and thanked him for his support.

Underlining the great role of Turkish public opinion and political parties in the execution of the Cyprus case, President Tatar underlined that the ongoing negotiations for a federal agreement for more than 50 years have not yielded any results. President Tatar emphasized that despite all the goodwill shown by the Turkish side, the Greek side has no intention of sharing the wealth and power of Cyprus on the basis of equality.
Noting that an agreement can be made with the cooperation of two states living side by side, based on sovereign equality, President Tatar said, “State means sovereignty, and we demand this as the Turkish Cypriot side, which is an inherent right. “We sit at the negotiation table with this stance,” he said.

Stating that they are aware of the support given to the Turkish Cypriot side by the İyi Party, always in cooperation with the awareness of the national sensitivity in Cyprus, President Tatar said that the support given is important.

Noting that he closely follows the party and its members, who pursue a policy that supports the Cyprus cause, President Tatar added that they are making an effort to announce national politics with the support provided in this context.
