President Ersin Tatar received and met with the Mayor of Anamur and the President of the Chamber of Commerce.

According to the statement made by the Presidency, Tatar expressed his satisfaction with the visit and wished success to the delegation within the scope of the work carried out.

In his speech at the reception, President Ersin Tatar pointed out the importance of Anamur for the Turkish Cypriots and said that water comes to the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus from the Alaköprü Dam in Anamur within the scope of the Water Supply Project from Turkey, which is called the project of the century.

Pointing out that ties with Türkiye are strengthening, Tatar underlined that joint efforts are being made to develop commercial, economic and cultural relations.

Stating that he follows the services of Anamur Municipality closely, Tatar stated that he wants the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus to benefit from these experiences. Emphasizing the importance of using water resources more efficiently, President Tatar stated that the studies and experiences carried out in Turkey should be benefited from in this context.
