Stating that the Greek Cypriot side, which is a unilateral member of the EU, acts together with Greece, President Tatar pointed out that since the Republic of Turkey is not a member of the EU, it will cause the ties between the Turkish Cypriot side and Turkey to be severed.

He noted that the TRNC became an observer member of the Organization of Turkish States after the President of the Republic of Turkey, Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, at the 77th General Assembly of the UN, said that the unjust embargoes imposed on the Turkish Cypriots by the world had turned into oppression and called for recognition.

Stating that the ground of TRNC is getting stronger gradually, President Tatar emphasized that as a Turkish state in the Mediterranean, TRNC and Turkish states have begun to cooperate socially, culturally and economically.

President Tatar stated that he will not be able to attend the Traditional Plateau Festival organized by the Black Sea Cultural Association this year because he will go to the United States tomorrow, and congratulated the organizers and contributors of the event and wished them success.

Trabzon Ortahisar Mayor Ahmet Metin Genç stated that the Turkish Nation will continue to see the Cyprus Cause as a national cause and said the late Dr. He said that the Turkish people know very well the struggles put forward by Fazıl Küçük and TRNC Founding President, the late Rauf Raif Denktaş, as well as President Ersin Tatar.

Ahmet Metin Genç stated that TRNC expects concrete steps from Russia, Azerbaijan and Pakistan as a result of various initiatives after becoming an observer member of the Organization of Turkish States.
