Prime Minister Ünal Üstel inspected the Tepebaşı Football Field, where germination works were started, and then opened the Tepebaşı Mukhtar’s Office building.

Ünal Üstel, in his statement to the press after being informed about the progress of the grass field works, stated that they promised to complete the unfinished works and sign the needed projects when they came to the Government, and stated that this project was also a part of their promise.

Stating that they have developed projects in line with the needs of young people so that they can stay in their regions, Üstel said that they see that one of the biggest needs of young people is housing, and that there are “large social housing projects” for young people in Çamlıbel and the surrounding villages.

Lapta Alsancak Çamlıbel Municipality Mayor Fırat Ataser stated that there are problems in the maintenance of grass fields in many regions, but Municipality employees will be assigned to maintain the Tepebaşı field, as in other fields within the borders of the Municipality.

Stating that the municipality is trying to keep plenty of green areas so that young people can have more opportunities to do sports and keep them away from bad habits, Ataser also stated that they will provide the necessary support to provide the necessary electrical infrastructure and irrigation water in the Tepebaşı field.

Ataser also emphasized that their aim is to integrate the Tepebaşı field with the playground, canteen and walking paths.

On the field, Tepebaşı Club President Erkan Çakır and Tepebaşı Headman Serhat Keyfiala also took the floor and thanked Prime Minister Üstel, Prime Ministry Undersecretary Hüseyin Cahitoğlu and Mayor Fırat Ataser for their contributions.

National Unity Party Kyrenia District Chairman Bülent Kutay said that the investments are an indication of UBP’s support to the youth.

Prime Minister Ünal Üstel, in his speech before the opening of the Tepebaşı Mukhtar’s Office building, said that during their visit to Tepebaşı village, one of the biggest complaints of the villagers was the lack of a Mukhtar’s Office Building, and that they promised to build a Mukhtar’s Office building.

He said that the Üstel building was put into service with the contributions of the Prime Ministry, Lapta Alsancak Çamlıbel Municipality and Eurocoast company.

Tepebaşı Headman Serhat Keyfiala also said that the village has not had a headman’s building for 40 years and thanked the Prime Minister, LAÇ Municipality and Eurocost company officials for the building.
