Prime Minister Ünal Üstel made important statements regarding the visit of Turkish Vice President Cevdet Yılmaz to the TRNC and government projects.

Prime Minister Üstel used the following statements in his statement:

“We put forward a common discourse at every event we attended with Mr. Yılmaz. To bring TRNC to the place it deserves in the world. We will do this with the strong support of our stable government and our homeland.
But while doing this, it is also necessary to make the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus ready to meet the world.
We have a great goal to bring TRNC together with the world.
In order to achieve this, we must support the process by solving the major infrastructure problems of our country, in addition to the joint work we carry out politically.
That’s why, together with the Republic of Turkey, we are implementing major projects one by one, such as the water project, the new airport project, and the project of bringing electrical energy from Turkey via cable.
Also during this period, we will also implement our highways, hospitals, schools and social housing projects in accordance with the economic and financial cooperation agreement we have signed.
As a result of the unshakable historical ties and the bridges of love established between the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus and the Motherland Turkey, I believe that we will eliminate the most important infrastructure problems of the TRNC within the next 3 years.
Our government continues and will continue its path with stability and determination to complete these projects.
During our visit, we had the opportunity to discuss and evaluate many issues with the Vice President of Turkey, from economy to development of infrastructure investments, from industry to trade, from agriculture to working life, from transportation to tourism, from health to education.
With the great contributions of our homeland Turkey, we will implement new projects very quickly.
I find it useful to repeat this sentence often because of its importance. And I say this with emphasis.
TRNC-Türkiye relations are not financial but vital.
The developments in the Eastern Mediterranean have increased the importance of our island many times over. Those who want to change the balance of power in the Eastern Mediterranean are literally waiting in ambush.
We are clearly aware of this. In full harmony with Turkey, we carry out our cooperation at the highest level in order to introduce the TRNC to the world and to protect our common interests on our common homeland, our blue homeland.
That’s why the importance of our bilateral contacts increases day by day.
Each visit clearly gives the message to the world that we are inseparable like flesh and sisters and that we continue our way as one nation and two states.

Together, we put forward all our efforts and work to ensure that the Turkish Century we are in is also the century of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus.
With the start of the newly completed agricultural irrigation project, there will be serious developments in the country’s agriculture.
With the opening of our new airport, the number of tourists arriving will increase significantly, and the country’s tourism will enter a new development momentum.
As we reach uninterrupted and quality energy with the interconnected system, there will be significant developments in production, industry, trade and social life.
As can be seen, every step taken, every major project put forward adds value to the value of the country, and enables the revival of many sectors with the added value it provides.

That’s why it is necessary to dream big and undertake big projects. There will always be those who oppose these big projects, but we will continue on our way with determination, courage and Turkey’s great contributions.
