Veterinary Department Directorate Public Health Unit “September Inspection Report” was announced.

According to the information provided by the Veterinary Department, in September, food hygiene inspections were carried out on 17 dairy product factories, 15 honey packaging facilities, 36 butchers, 2 cattle slaughterhouses, 1 meat product factory and 26 sheep and cattle farms for the purpose of PDO certification within the scope of halloumi registration.

During the inspections, 400 kg of meat, which was found to be spoiled by not being stored in food hygiene conditions, was confiscated and destroyed in the business called “Şem’s Meat Market” operating in Kyrenia.

In addition, the activities of dairy product enterprises named “Yasmin Halloumi” and “Dilekkaya Halloumi” were suspended on the grounds that they could not meet food hygiene criteria.
