According to this information, write a new article in English:

The National Unity Party (UBP) evaluated the United Nations Security Council (UNSC) decision regarding the events that took place in the village of Pile last week.

In the written statement made by the UBP, it was emphasized that the UNSC “issued an unfair statement by breaking its neutrality in favor of the Greek side” about the Pile – Yiğitler road, which was started to be built with purely humanitarian purposes in order to facilitate the access of the citizens living in the village of Pile to the TRNC lands and their lands in Pile.

The statement published by UBP included the following:

“The talks with the UN, which remained silent on the various violations committed by the Greek Cypriot side in the buffer zone, including road construction, on the Pile – Yiğitler road, whose humanitarian dimension has been brought to the agenda by our government, have been inconclusive so far.

The United Nations (UN), which came to our island with Resolution 186, has been on our island for exactly 59 years. This period has almost turned into a status quo and with the attempts to prevent them in Pile, it has turned into an understanding that gives them ‘sovereignty’ in the buffer zone. During this time, they closed their eyes to some developments on the island and really made us question the UNSC resolutions.

For example, the Ortega report, which looted 111 Turkish villages on the island and revealed the atrocities committed by the Greeks, and Kofi Annan’s report, which reports that the Greeks did not want a solution after years, and that the isolation and embargo against the Turkish Cypriot people should be lifted, are the reports of the Secretary General that bear witness to history. Why haven’t these reports turned into UNSC resolutions? It has not been transformed because the Security Council has turned into a structure that is based on its own interests and cannot produce a solution or dispense justice.

The UNSC mechanism established for solution and peace has become a problem maker, not a problem solver. The relevant UNSC decision taken with Pile was another example of this mentality. As a result of this Security Council decision taken today, it has been revealed once again how far the UN, whose budget is almost half covered by the Greek Cypriot Administration and Greece, is far from displaying an attitude towards the parties on the island within the framework of the principle of impartiality and that it has undertaken the duty of only the spokesperson of one party on the island.

We will continue our struggle for sovereignty together with our Motherland in order to move to a more just world order initiated by the Republic of Turkey and in the eyes of the UN. Our struggle for the Pile road will not only be for the establishment of our citizens’ right to transportation, but also for a fairer, more equitable solution and a road map for the world.”
