Tatar stated that Ediz Hun was an idol and example for young people and pointed out the importance and value of Ediz Hun and Türkan Şoray coming to Cyprus together during the operations and meeting with Mehmetçik, mujahids and the public.

Saygılı emphasized that they aim to commemorate and not forget the dear martyrs and veterans who made the country their homeland with the organization that took place for the fourth time today, and said that although Türkan Şoray could not attend the event due to her health problems, her heart is in Cyprus and thanked those who contributed to the event.

Following the speeches, Hasan Taş, President of the Cyprus Martyrs’ Commemoration Platform, shared “Stories about the 50th Anniversary of the Peace Operation” with the audience.

The event continued with Ediz Hun’s interview with the students after his CV was read.
