President Ersin Tatar visited the ongoing park next to the Presidential Campus.

During the visit, President Ersin Tatar received information from Osman Çağakan, Director of the Presidency Department.

President Ersin Tatar, in his statement during his visit, after the request of the President of the Republic of Turkey Recep Tayyip Erdogan on the orders of the new Presidential building, the Republican Assembly and the Natural Park Republican campus stating that the Republic of Turkey, thanked the Republic of Turkey.

Pointing out that the studies in the campus stopped due to the earthquake that took place on February 6 in Türkiye, President Ersin Tatar pointed out that an extraordinary effort was made due to the loss of 1 year and the Presidency and the Republican Campus Campus were opened on May 3 and emphasized that the works related to the park continued.

Explaining that more than 1450 people worked during the work, President Tatar thanked those who contributed to the realization of the project.

President Tatar stated that there is great demand for the use of conference halls within the Presidential Campus, which is the home of the people, and in the parks within the park; Sports, culture, art and social activities will be hosted, he added.

President Tatar explained that for the first time in the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus, a large green area will be gained in this diameter and emphasized that the park, where approximately 20 thousand trees will be located, will clean the air of Nicosia and allow it to air.

President Tatar said that the parking lots in the park will be closed with solar panels, said the park will produce its own energy.

In the continuation of his speech, President Tatar added that the parking lot will be served to Nicosia and the people of the region and the parking lot will be offered at Mete Han Border Gate.

In his speech, the Presidency Department Director Osman Çağakan stated that at least 9 square meters of green areas per person in world -class cities are envisaged, and that this figure is below world standards in the country, but the world standards will come to the world standards.

Çağakan stated that the saplings brought to the country for the landscape were kept in the Presidential Campus for 1 year to adapt to the climate and that 20 thousand trees will take place in the park, and that local trees will be found in Cyprus’s climate.
