Turkish Cypriot Chamber of Commerce participated in the Turkish World Business and Investment Forum organized by the Union of Turkish Chambers of Commerce and Industry.

According to the statement made by the chamber, the President of the Turkish Cypriot Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu, made the opening speech at the event, and the President of the Turkish Cypriot Chamber of Commerce, Turgay Deniz, was also present as a speaker.

In his speech, Deniz expressed his pleasure to be at the “Turkish World Business and Investment Forum” organized within the scope of the 12th Ministerial Meeting of the Organization of Turkish States Responsible for Trade and Economy.

Deniz added that the Turkish World Business Forum is very important especially for the Turkish Cypriot people and the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus, who have been kept alive under embargoes for many years, and stated that they took care to participate in the forum activities in the best way possible, being aware of this importance.

Deniz continued his words as follows:

“Our expectation is to develop relationships between our business people and organizations, to establish commercial relationships and to make them permanent. We believe that taking steps to facilitate trade and capital movements between member and observer states, with the support of our esteemed ministers, will gradually improve our business relations and the games of those who are determined to isolate us will be in vain.”

At the end of his speech, Deniz thanked Mr. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu, President of the Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey, and his team.

Deniz was accompanied at the event by Board Members Evren Günsel Erçelik, Alp Cengiz Alp, Secretary General Aysun Önet İleri, Deputy Secretary General Mustafa Ergüven and Business Development Specialist Ayten Dellaloğlu.
