Öztürkler also mentioned the developments in Cyprus, which damages the peace environment in Cyprus, said that the efforts of the Southern Cyprus Greek Administration to arms the island and that this situation damaged the trust between the two communities.

Ozturkler, despite all these negativities, the Turkish Cypriot people maintain the determination and under the roof of the state, stressed that the homeland will continue to live with the guarantee of Türkiye.

Stating that the sacrifices shown by martyrs and veterans will not be forgotten, Ziya Öztürkler completed the ceremony by stating that it is the common responsibility of every individual to keep the traces of this struggle and to transfer it to future generations.
