Green Peace Movement President Feriha Tel, in her statement to the press at the beginning of the event, said that the event, which is a garbage collection and cleaning activity, was held for the first time in 2018 with the title “Let’s Do It!” He explained that it was started as a movement by World.

Stating that the event is held every year on the third Saturday of September, Tel said that the event is held in 191 countries today with more than 70 million volunteers.

Underlining the need for collective action for cleaning, Tel said that workplaces, houses and streets can be cleaned and shared on social media by tagging “Green Peace Movement” and “Let’s Do It”.
