President of the Assembly of the Republic Zorlu Töre visited the TCG Nusret Museum Ship and TCG Karataş ships anchored in Kyrenia Port.

According to the information given by the Assembly of the Republic, TCG Karataş Commander Dz. Capt. Mustafa Zeybek and TCG Nusret Commander Dz. Utgm. Töre, who was welcomed by Ersin Taşkın, saluted the military detachment and signed the ship’s memoirs.

TCG Nusret Museum Ship Commander Dz. Utgm. Ersin Taşkın gave information to Mayor Töre about the role of the ship in the Çanakkale Naval Battles and the faithful construction process. Töre toured the miniatures inside the ship and watched short documentaries about the Gallipoli War.

Making a statement before leaving the ship, Töre said that the enemy was defeated at sea thanks to the mines laid by the Nusret Mine Ship.

Zorlu Töre stated that Çanakkale became impassable with the mines laid by Nusret and the other 3 ships, and this was shown to the whole world with the great success achieved in land wars.

Stating that Çanakkale was one of the heroisms in the history of the Turkish nation, Töre wished God’s mercy to all the martyrs, especially MK Atatürk, the founder of the Republic of Turkey.

Töre also thanked the Turkish Naval Forces Command for opening the TCG Nusret Museum Ship to visitors in Kyrenia Port.
