In the statement made by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, it was noted that the maps in question, which coincide with the so-called “National Maritime Spatial Plan” recently prepared by the Greek Cypriot Administration of Southern Cyprus (GCASC), support the claims of the Greek Cypriot side that it is the sole legitimate owner of the island of Cyprus.

In the statement, “GCASC, which only represents the Greek Cypriot people, does not have the authority to take steps alone on issues that concern the entire island, nor does it have the authority to speak or take any steps on behalf of the Turkish Cypriot people.” It was said.
