Regarding the TRNC in Kyrgyzstan, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan said, “I wholeheartedly believe that you will contribute to the proper representation of our observer member, the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus, during your term presidency.” he said.

Regarding the cooperation with Kyrgyzstan in the fight against terrorism, Erdogan said, “I believe that our fight against all kinds of terrorism, especially FETO, will continue uninterrupted.” he said.

Turkish President Erdoğan spoke with Kyrgyz President Sadır Caparov at the 6th Meeting of the Türkiye-Kyrgyzstan High Level Strategic Cooperation Council, which he chaired.
Expressing his happiness to be in Kyrgyzstan, which he described as the “homeland of ancestors”, on the occasion of the meeting, Erdoğan thanked Caparov for his “extraordinary” hosting.

Erdoğan celebrated the 100th anniversary of the establishment of the Kara-Kyrgyz Region, where the foundations of the sovereign Kyrgyz Republic were laid.

Stating that they will sign the document that will raise the strategic partnership between the two countries to the level of comprehensive strategic partnership, Erdoğan said that they will establish a mechanism that will deepen the relations in security, transportation, health and other fields.

– Trade volume target is 5 billion dollars

Turkish President Erdoğan emphasized that during his meeting with Caparov, they agreed to increase the bilateral trade volume target to 5 billion dollars.

Pointing out that Turkey is among the biggest investor countries in the Kyrgyz Republic, Erdoğan said, “We are one of the countries that provide the most official development support. All of these are economic indicators of the importance we attach to our ancestral homeland. Operating in Kyrgyzstan since 1992, TIKA has implemented over 1000 projects to date. The Turkish-Kyrgyz Friendship State Hospital, which we will open today, is among these projects. I would like to express that I am very honored that you named the hospital after me.” he said.

Stating that the cooperation between the security institutions of the two countries continues successfully with training activities and technical support projects, Erdoğan said, “I believe that our fight against all kinds of terrorism, especially FETO, will continue uninterrupted. “We want to further strengthen our cooperation through the security cooperation agreement we will sign today.” he said.

Referring to the education cooperation, Erdoğan said, “Let’s quickly complete the negotiations of the education cooperation agreement. On this occasion, I would like to emphasize my satisfaction that Manas University has entered the list of the best universities in the world. “Let’s continue to work in harmony to ensure that our university makes the maximum contribution to both Kyrgyzstan’s human capital and science and art.” made his assessment.

– “Israeli atrocities deeply wound consciences on a global scale”

President Erdoğan also touched upon Israel’s attacks on Gaza. Stating that the ongoing Israeli atrocities in the occupied Palestinian territories, especially in Gaza, deeply hurt consciences on a global scale, Erdoğan said:

“Israel’s attacks on Lebanon now threaten the security of the entire region and the international system. At the unofficial Organization of Turkic States Summit held in Shusha, we condemned the indiscriminate targeting of civilians in Gaza and called for an immediate ceasefire and humanitarian aid. It is extremely important that, as the Turkish world, we continue our efforts for a permanent and fair solution to the Palestine issue. In this regard, I would like to thank Kyrgyzstan for its support to our multilateral initiatives, including the United Nations, to increase international pressure on Israel.”

Pointing out that the contractual basis of relations will be further strengthened with the agreements to be signed today, Erdoğan said, “I hope that the 11th summit of the Organization of Turkish States, which will be hosted by you tomorrow, and your term presidency will be beneficial. I wholeheartedly believe that you will contribute to the proper representation of our observer member, the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus, during your term presidency.” He said his words.

Erdoğan emphasized that they successfully completed the Sixth Meeting of the Turkey-Kyrgyzstan High Level Strategic Cooperation Council and said, “In today’s contacts, we exchanged views on the steps we will take to further develop our relations. I believe that the decisions we make and the goals we set will shape the future of our relations. I am waiting for you in Ankara for the next council meeting.” he said.

Thanking him for the hospitality and kindness shown to him and the delegation, Erdoğan said, “Of course, by the way, I hope that this magnificent work of yours, with which we held this meeting today, will be auspicious for Kyrgyzstan. You really did a successful job in terms of cost calculations. In this regard, I congratulate you. I pray to God that our consultations and the decisions we make will be beneficial.” he said.

Stating that 19 agreements will be signed between the two countries, Erdoğan said, “This means a very rich meeting. 19 deals, amazing. May God bless your end as well.” he said.
