According to the EU Information Center, the competition was organized in cooperation with the EU Information Center and the Folk Arts Association (HASDER) within the scope of the 16th Nicosia Youth Days financed by the European Union to emphasize the contributions of young people to the society on the occasion of the International Youth Day.
In the competition, two personality cyclists had to find the cultural heritage areas, which were not given the names of the teams but whose positions were marked on the map. In doing so, it was necessary to comply with the traffic rules.
According to the statement, a map at the starting point and a photo of the first cultural heritage area had to successfully find the designated points and visit all the goals in order by taking a new photo of the next area. The first three teams, which correctly identified all cultural heritage areas as soon as possible and returned to the starting point and document each with photography, were awarded.
The opening speeches of the ceremony were held by Deniz Birinci Program Manager in charge of Communication from the European Commission Program Support Office and by Seden Beyit, the co -chairman of the Hasder Youth Club. In the speeches, the protection of cultural heritage and the importance of sports in terms of the future of Cyprus and young people were emphasized.
The event ended with an award ceremony and cocktail reception celebrating the efforts and achievements of the contestants.
