Prime Minister Ünal Üsel stated that they declared the year 2025 as a “health year” and said that they aim to build the health infrastructure from the beginning to the largest districts of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus with the health investments initiated throughout the country.

Stating that the health infrastructure was restructured throughout the country thanks to the project plans made in 2024, Üsel underlined that health services are one of the priority issues of governments and that they attach great importance to the health of the people.

Prime Minister Ünal Üsel examined the renovation and modernization works carried out at Lapta Health Center on site and received comprehensive information from the authorities for the project.

In his speech, Health Minister Hakan Dinçyürek said that they examined the renovation works carried out in Lapta Health Center on site and evaluated the latest situation of the center. Stating that new planning has been reviewed, Dinçyürek said that the center will be opened in a very short time.

Dinçyürek emphasized that the capacity of the building was not increased, but also all the technical devices in it was renewed and the support of the health personnel was strengthened and that the center was equipped to provide on -site health care to more patients in parallel with the increasing population.

Noting that these studies are not limited to Lapta, Dinçyürek said that similar renewal and strengthening works in all health centers throughout the country in line with the directives of Prime Minister Üstel said that.

Dinçyürek, in the coming days thanks to the public health experts who will participate in the health staff primary treatment services, preventive medicine applications, early diagnosis, vaccination and immunization programs will be a corporate structure, he said.

Dinçyürek emphasized that their goals are to provide on -site and effective health services in all regions from Dipkarpaz to Yeşilırmak and that the opening of many centers will be carried out in a short time and that the maintenance, repair and device renewal works were completed in existing health centers.

Dinçyürek noted that the nurse cadres will be strengthened with the nursing exam to be held on June 22nd and that the personnel infrastructure has been developed continuously in order to provide health services more effectively.

Lapta Alsancak Çamlıbel Mayor Fırat Ataser also stressed that the studies carried out at Lapta Health Center are a historical step for the region. Stating that the capacity of the health center has been insufficient for many years, Ataser said that the increasing the center to the hospital level is a great need for the people of the region.
