Prime Minister Ünal Üsel stated that President Ersin Tatar appreciated his vision and determined stance at the summit meetings of Cyprus in the format of 5+1 in New York as the government.

According to the statement made by the Prime Ministry, Prime Minister Üstel, President Tatar, together with the homeland of the Turkish Cypriot people with the dominant equality, equal international status and the right to integrate with the world defends the highest level.

Üsel continued his statement as follows:

“The 6 -item cooperation proposal presented by the Turkish side is a reflection of our sincere approach to peace and sustainable future. However, the Greek Cypriot administration continues its attitude towards the loneliness of the Turkish Cypriot people.

The Greek side consciously clogs the process with the demands that will not be, and sees the negotiations as a means of the continuation of the status quo, not the solution. Sitting at the table has not been a solution for them, but a means of condemning the Turkish Cypriot people to negotiation.

In addition, the attack of our economy through property cases, the disregard of the immovable property commission, the ignorance of constructive calls related to the transition gates and the attempt to prevent contact with foreign authorities are other steps that damage goodwill.

The international community should know that; It is not possible to ignore the will of the Turkish Cypriot people with threats, pressure, insulation and discredit policies. Without the confirmation of equality and mutual respect, neither a cooperation nor a permanent solution is possible.

He thanked our President Ersin Tatar for his determined stance; We would like to express our gratitude to President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan and Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan for their support for our people’s rightful cause.

The Turkish Cypriot people are in favor of solution and peace. However, the solution is possible with the construction of a real ground where dominant equality is recognized, the rights are delivered and the trust is built.

Our stance is clear: Without compromising our sovereignty, we will continue to defend the rights of our people, strengthen our state and walk with confident steps to the future with the homeland. ”
