President Ersin Tatar spoke at the 11th Summit of the Council of Heads of State of the Organization of Turkic States (TDT) held in Kyrgyzstan.

In his speech here, President Tatar expressed his pleasure at being at the summit and thanked Kyrgyz President Sadır Caparov for his invitation to the summit in Atayurt.

Pointing out that the Kyrgyz people have existed in these lands with their independence, cultural, national and spiritual values ​​together with the Karakhanid Turkish State for a thousand years, President Tatar congratulated the Kyrgyz people.

Stating that he is in spiritual peace and happiness of being in the Kyrgyz Republic, which has the unique cultural treasures of the Turkish World, President Tatar drew attention to the importance of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus being at the top for the Turkish Cypriots.

President Tatar in his speech; He emphasized that the coexistence of sister countries with the same language, religion, culture, roots and lineage gives strength to the Turkish World.

Emphasizing that importance is given to the development of economic relations and cooperation between countries, as stated in the 2040 vision of the organization, President Tatar noted that efforts are being made to revitalize the historical Silk Road and that the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus is at a strategic point in the Eastern Mediterranean.

Pointing out that the connections of the Turkish World in the Eastern Mediterranean have been strengthened with the membership of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus to the Organization of Turkish States, President Tatar said that the institutions and organizations of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus, which is an integral part of the Turkish World, and every place where TDT operates. He expressed his determination to work in the field.

Continuing his speech, President Tatar emphasized that the support to be given to lift the unfair isolations imposed on the Turkish Cypriots is important.

Stating that the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus has the potential to contribute to the Turkish World with its power and capacity, President Tatar stated that Ercan Airport and Gazi Famagusta Trade Port create opportunities.

Pointing out that 3 universities in the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus, which is an island of education, are among the top thousand universities in the world, President Tatar emphasized that they have the potential to become a science base.

Pointing out the potential in the agricultural sector and food security with the water supply project from Turkey, which is called the project of the century with the vision of Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, President Tatar emphasized the importance of the contribution to the energy sector with the hydrocarbon resources around the island.

Stating that it hosts more than 1 million tourists annually with its developed service sector and world-class hotels, President Tatar noted that it offers great opportunities to future investors with its developed infrastructure open to investment, manpower and multicultural structure.

Stating that the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus is the representative and indomitable guardian of the rights and interests of the Turkish World in the Eastern Mediterranean, President Tatar stated that the state was established in 1983 with the right to self-determination and that it continues to move forward despite the difficulties.

Stating that President Erdoğan of the Republic of Turkey called on world leaders to recognize the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus at the 77th, 78th and 79th General Assembly Meetings of the United Nations and supported the just cause of the Turkish Cypriots, President Tatar expressed his gratitude to the President of the Republic of Turkey Erdoğan. .

Continuing his speech, President Tatar thanked for being given the opportunity to tell the facts about Cyprus and said, “I attach importance to your support in order to focus on the initiatives for the recognition of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus in the Turkish World and to find a fair and permanent solution to the Cyprus problem.”
