Emphasizing that today is both Turkish coffee day and the day Turkish women gained the right to vote, Serim celebrated Turkish women’s right to vote and international women’s rights day and Turkish coffee day.

Stating that there can be no democracy without women, Serim emphasized the place of Turkish coffee, which is a traditional cultural heritage, in culture.

Serim stated that the art of Marbling and Turkish coffee will be promoted at the event, where information will be given about the history and subtleties of Turkish coffee, and noted the importance of the place of Turkish coffee in culture.

Sevim Çağla Serim celebrated Turkish Coffee Day, stating that coffee is an important drink that means friendship, unity, togetherness, hospitality and remembrance for the Turkish people.

In her speech, Sibel Tatar, wife of President Ersin Tatar, pointed out the importance of Turkish coffee for the country and its citizens and said that Turkish coffee, which became a culture thanks to the Ottoman Empire, is the symbol of hospitality and friendship and is also used for treatment.

Drawing attention to the importance of coffeehouses in terms of society, friendship, social life and culture, Tatar emphasized the importance of making coffeehouses more modern, shared by men and women for touristic purposes.

In addition to Turkish Coffee Day, Tatar also celebrated the day when Turkish women were given the right to vote and wished for more women to take part in the Parliament.
