The 15 November Republic Festival, organized by the Youth Department under the Deputy Prime Ministry, Ministry of Tourism, Culture, Youth and Environment, was held yesterday.

According to the information given by the Youth Department, the Youth Department took its place in the official parades held in Nicosia and Kyrenia on the occasion of the 41st anniversary of the founding of the Republic, and organized the “15 November Republic Festival Cortege” in Kyrenia.

Kyrenia Ramadan Folk dance teams, hip-hop dance teams and scouts from abroad and TRNC participated in the cortege, which started in front of the old Kyrenia Municipality in Cemil Square and continued until the Atatürk Monument, accompanied by the Joker Brass band.

The teams performed short shows at the official ceremony held in front of the Atatürk Monument. After the demonstrations in front of the Atatürk Monument, the organization organized by the Youth Office in front of the Tourism Office in Kyrenia Tourism Port started.

At the event; Akdoğan Youth Center Folk Dance teams, Turkey Women’s Zeybek, Turkey Men’s Aydın Authentic Zeybek Group, Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan youth and children’s teams took part. While Dancebase Art Studio dancers danced hip-hop, the Cyprus Dance Of Fire team performed a fire show.

At the end of the night, Youth Department Director Hüseyin Ozanoğlu presented a plaque of appreciation to the participants and thanked all participants and department staff for their contributions.
