BAY-SEN, 46 Years Old: A Profile

Bayrak Radio and Television Corporation Employees Union (BAY-SEN) Celebrates 46th Anniversary
As the Bayrak Radio and Television Corporation Employees Union (BAY-SEN) celebrates its 46th anniversary, President İbrahim Kanat has called on the government to protect the institution and its employees.
Established on January 25, 1978, BAY-SEN has been the authorized union in the Institution since 1996, with the authority to conclude a Collective Bargaining Agreement. This has allowed the employees to gain their rights within the framework of the law, as emphasized by President Kanat.
In his statement, Kanat highlighted the union’s ongoing struggle for the personnel rights of the institution’s employees throughout its 46 years of existence. He stressed the importance of the government addressing the rights, losses, and troubles of the workers who have worked tirelessly to deliver accurate and fast news to the public during the pandemic, floods, fires, and the recent February 6 earthquake.
To mark the 46th anniversary, the Union will be celebrating with a ball to be held tomorrow evening.
President Kanat’s message serves as a reminder of the crucial role played by the public broadcasting institution and its employees, urging the government to take the necessary steps to protect and support them in their vital work.
