Beautiful minibuses cause chaos in traffic … Pregnant woman begs for mercy: “Please stop, I’m going into labor”
Two minibuses in Ümraniye, Istanbul, recently made headlines for their reckless behavior while carrying passengers. The incident began when two minibus drivers in Atatürk Neighborhood Çavuşbaşı Street started racing with each other. The drivers allegedly ignored red lights and endangered traffic by not stopping for pedestrians.
During this chaotic race, a pregnant passenger on one of the minibuses became extremely distressed and requested to get off, fearing that the stress would cause her to give birth prematurely. Another passenger on the minibus captured the dangerous driving on camera, which led to the drivers being detained by the police.
Following the incident, Istanbul Traffic Supervision Branch Directorate identified the drivers as Ramazan K. (35) and Dogukan E. (40). The drivers were taken into custody and faced charges for endangering traffic safety. Additionally, they were fined a total of 28,248 pounds for various violations under the Highways Traffic Law, including carrying excessive passengers and not following traffic regulations.
As a result of their reckless actions, the drivers had their work licenses suspended and their vehicles were banned from the roads. They were released from police custody under the decision of the prosecutor’s office.
