Beloved Actor Kayhan Yıldızoğlu Mourned by Art Community

Master actor Kayhan Yıldızoğlu has passed away at the age of 90, leaving behind a legacy of unforgettable performances in Turkish cinema and television series.

After his death, his daughter Sibel Aybar announced that the cause of death was due to old age. The funeral will be held in Levent on Monday at noon prayer, in accordance with Yıldızoğlu’s wishes to be buried next to his mother in Feriköy.

Born on December 26, 1936, in Yeşilköy, Istanbul, Kayhan Yıldızoğlu’s career spanned over five decades, during which he appeared in nearly 180 films and television series. Starting his career in theater under the guidance of Muhsin Ertuğrul, he later transitioned to film, where he portrayed a wide range of characters including priests, doctors, commissioners, professors, bandits, and thugs in supporting roles.

Some of the notable series and movies in which Kayhan Yıldızoğlu starred include “Valley of the Wolves Ambush,” “Köstebekgiller: Perili Orman,” “Ali Loves Ayşe,” and “Zart-1 TV.”
