Beware of Pilgrimage Visa Scams
The Inter -Ministry pilgrimage and Umrah board member, Deputy Minister of Culture and Tourism Nadir Alpaslan, has emphasized the importance of a strong organization for the millions of Muslims participating in the pilgrimage. Alpaslan stated that the Presidency of Religious Affairs has been organizing the pilgrimage with health and safety measures since 1979.
He also highlighted the role of the inter -ministry pilgrimage and Umrah board in determining decisions and policies related to the organization of pilgrimage and Umrah. Alpaslan stressed the need for countries to be included in the pilgrimage quota allocated through lots.
Despite warnings from Saudi Arabian authorities about unauthorized companies offering pilgrimage visas, Alpaslan cautioned against using these methods as they pose risks to pilgrims. He mentioned that Saudi Arabia will not permit entry to those who obtain visas through unauthorized means.
Alpaslan urged pilgrims to only trust the organizations approved by the Presidency of Religious Affairs or authorized travel agencies to avoid any potential issues. He emphasized the importance of adhering to official channels to ensure a safe and smooth pilgrimage experience.
