The city of Almaty is set to host a spectacular and unique cultural event as the Birlik ensemble makes its debut performance on Jan. 30. Art director Anel Marabayeva recently announced the one-time event on her Instagram page.
The Birlik ensemble aims to celebrate Kazakhstan’s rich cultural diversity and the unity of its peoples through art. This historic performance will bring together music, dance, and traditions from 130 ethnic groups, showcasing the country’s cultural wealth and originality on one stage for the first time.
Audiences can expect grand choreographic productions, enchanting live music, and exquisite costumes that capture the essence of each ethnic group. The performances will be choreographed by talented artists from Kazakhstan, Russia, Uzbekistan, and Tatarstan, with 20 dancers and musicians of various nationalities taking the stage.
