
Bodrum’s Population Surpasses 1 Million

Bodrum, the popular holiday destination in Muğla, is currently experiencing its busiest period of the year. The population of the district, which was previously around 190 thousand, has now exceeded 1 million.
The increase in population can be attributed to the recent Eid al-Adha holiday, which lasted for 9 days. This resulted in a significant influx of local tourists to the Bodrum district. Within just 5 days, approximately 200 thousand vehicles entered the district, contributing to the population surge.
Moreover, hotel occupancy rates have reached an impressive 95 percent since the second day of the holiday. Tourists are filling up the district, from entertainment venues and beaches to shopping centers and tourist attractions. Bodrum is buzzing with the excitement of visitors enjoying their holidays.
