Minister Bolat Holds Productive Online Meeting with US Trade Officials
Minister Bolat took to his social media account to announce a detailed discussion with US Trade Minister Lutnick and Trade Representative Greer in efforts to strengthen the commercial and economic ties between Türkiye and the United States.
During the meeting, both sides expressed their satisfaction with the progress made and reaffirmed their commitment to furthering economic cooperation. Bolat extended his congratulations to the US officials on their new roles and highlighted the shared determination to achieve the annual trade volume target set by President Recep Tayyip Erdogan and US President Donald Trump.
Minister Bolat emphasized the importance of cooperation in various sectors including energy, chemistry, automotive, textile-clothing, agriculture, digital economy, and infrastructure to boost trade between the two countries.
“They stated that they are ready to work together,” Bolat said, noting that the US officials are keen on closely following US trade policies and collaborating with Türkiye to enhance mutual trade opportunities. The US ministers expressed their readiness to strengthen trade relations, develop partnerships in new areas, and explore innovative ideas.
Looking ahead, Minister Bolat revealed plans for Trade and Investment Council meeting next month in Washington where technical committees from both countries will convene. He underlined the joint efforts to elevate bilateral trade relations between Türkiye and the United States.
The meeting concluded on a positive note with both parties expressing their commitment to enhancing economic ties and exploring new opportunities for cooperation.
